#101 Server Backup

So in the world of servers, there are three basic concepts in backing up data on a server. The options are full backup, incremental backup, and differential backup. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages in terms of the copying and restoring process, as well as the storage space requirements for storing backup files. In addition, there is an important rule known as 3-2-1 which means: keep 3 copies of data, on 2 different media, and 1 copy offsite.

If the server admin of the Ministry of Communication and Digital (Komdigi) had followed this pattern correctly, the problem of the damaged data center yesterday in Indonesia would certainly not have been a big problem.
